What is the difference between cold-pressed and conventional juice?

Cold press juicers extract juice from produce using a hydraulic press which is a slow controlled extraction process. This ensures that the vital enzymes, nutrients and minerals stay intact. This extraction method is still regarded as the best in the world. It’s all in the method, as the fresh fruit and vegetables are, as the name suggests, “pressed” so the maximum amount of nectar is extracted from the pulp and fibre, leaving a raw and fresh juice.

What type of juicers do you use?

We use both the Norwalk 270 and X1 juicers.

What is the shelf life of the juice?

When refrigerated, our juices stay fresh for 4 days.

Do you deliver to other cities in Greater Vancouver?

Yes, absolutely. Free delivery within Vancouver. We deliver anywhere from West Vancouver to Langley. See Delivery page for rates

How many calories are in your juices?

Most of our juices range from 50-300 calories per bottle. Our goal is to provide you with cold-pressed vegetable and fruit juices, giving you increased water intake, soulful energy and optimal nourishment.

Am I going to lose weight on a cleanse?

The answer to this is variable. Your body knows what to do, so trust it. We try not to focus on weight loss as a goal, but we understand that it is important to a lot of people. You might also find that the cleanse actually prompts your body to re-balance itself.

Are the juices fresh upon delivery?

We produce every juice to order each morning, ensuring freshness and quality.

Your juices will be delivered straight to your doorstep. Put them straight into your fridge.

Should I go to the gym and work out?

If you want to cleanse deeply you should rest. But if you feel like a good workout, get out there and do your best.

What if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should not restrict your diet to liquids, as you need extra calories and nutrients in your diet. However, the juices can be taken as a supplement to ensure you have sufficient nutrients and vitamins in your body. Consult your health care professional if our juices are right for you.

Do you use organic produce?

Yes we do. We source our produce from local B.C farms as much as possible. Choosing organic produce is high priority for us, however it is not always possible due to availability and season.

Why does the juice separate after being left in the fridge overnight??

LeafyBox juices are produced using the freshest ingredients, with no colouring, additives, sugar or water. Without addition of additives, the natural separation or settling process cannot be avoided. All you need to do is to shake your juices before drinking them.

LeafyBox | Norman Walker - pioneer of cold-press method

“The juice must be pressed from the resultant pulp by a hydraulic or equivalent pressure. Otherwise, the vitamins, the enzymes, and the entire volume of vital elements of the vegetables are not likely to be found in the juice. It is important to drink fresh juices, and also eat raw foods, since they act as an intestinal broom. However, solid food requires many hours of digestive activity before its nourishment can become available to the cells and tissues of the body. The benefits of pulp - free juice are immediate.”

— Dr. Norman W. Walker (1886 -1985) is recognized throughout the world as one of the most authoritative pioneers in the field of vegetable juicing and nutritional health. For almost 70 years, Dr. Walker has researched man's ability to live a longer, healthier life.
